Identity Crisis

For way too long Christians have suffered a severe identity crisis. We have dwelt in the light of the knowledge that we are just physical beings who have to sweat and toil for everything we get.

“A Christian who has to work hard for everything he has is no Christian at all. Where’s the place of grace?” (Anonymous).

Today’s Christian has failed to know who they truly are and who sent them. We have not fully understood the relationship we have with God. Therefore, we have not fully grasped the essence and benefits of what we are and possess.

You are first a Christian before anything else. Being a Christian is not an addition to your certification... it’s YOU! You’re not a worker and a Christian. You’re a Christian and a worker (A Christian worker not a working Christian).

We are the body of Christ; His battle axe and weapon of warfare. This means that whenever God goes out to battle, He goes out with us. Whenever He sends out a missile to destroy the enemy’s stronghold, He’s actually sending us out. Indeed, we are that powerful!

The Bible calls us many names: a royal priesthood, children of God, sons of God, the body of Christ and so many others. Have you tried or truly lived up to any of them or even caught the realization of them.

Whenever anyone was called out by God, He always started out by revealing their identity like Gideon, Abraham, Prophet Jeremiah and other figures in the Bible. Before we can be used by God, we must know
who we are and who God is. Even before He sends us out, He blesses us and reassures us of His love.

Without knowing our God, we cannot do exploits (Daniel 11:32).
